Welcome
John's Clock Repairs is located in a small hamlet near Bere Regis, Dorset, UK. A purpose-built workshop enables a variety of clocks, barometers and barographs to be ultrasonically cleaned, repaired and restored.
Bringing your clock back to life
- The first step is to assess the condition of your clock and identify exactly what is needed.
- Before any work is carried out, an inspection is completed so that a report and estimate can be produced.
- Once the estimate is accepted, work begins to an advised timescale.
- If additional work is needed, the estimated price will not be exceeded without your knowledge and permission.
- Delivery and collection of your clock are welcome, which helps keep final costs down.
Please note: repairs are not undertaken for cuckoo, anniversary or chiming clocks (Westminster chimes). Because of the age, wear and time involved, these are no longer taken in for restoration or repair.
If you have a clock that has stopped and would like to see it brought back to life, filling out the enquiry form will enable a response as soon as possible.
Recent repairs and refurbishments
Work includes grandfather clocks, wall clocks, bracket clocks, mantle clocks and mass-produced quartz movements. Servicing carriage clocks also forms a substantial part of the work.
A growing trend of converting worn-out mechanical clocks to quartz movement is also catered for. Barometers and barographs are also serviced, excluding mercury barometers.
